The Virtual Elections for SJCC Associated Student Government has kicked off!

We are looking for student leaders who want to represent the student body on the SJCC Associated Student Government for the next academic year.


The SJCC Associated Student Government is committed to providing services and activities that enhance the opportunity to enhance and enrich student life. We represent the student body as their governing council. We are the voice of SJCC students and advocate on their behalf on campus, statewide and national issues affecting them.


Candidate Requirements

In order to run for an Associated Student Government position, the following requirements must be met:

  1. Must have a 2.7 GPA or above.

  2. Must be enrolled in at least three (3) credit units or more.

  3. Must be enrolled at San Jose City College at the time of submitting their application and for the tenure of their office.

  • You will be able to contribute to campus culture.

  • You will have access to leadership opportunities (i.e. conventions and conferences).

Timeline

  • March 22, 2021 - Campaign Packets are available.

  • March 29 to April 2, 2021 - Candidate Orientations

  • April 5-19, 2021 - Candidates will participate in events to campaign.

  • April 20-21, 2021 - Candidates will be notified about ranking in the election.

  • April 22-23, 2021 - The winners will be announced!
