Post Election Healing Circle
Nov. 4 @ 2 PM
The climate created by the 2020 General Election and its aftereffects come on top of other issues like a long pandemic, racial injustices, and economic hardship for many. Especially with social distancing, it can be hard to find spaces to feel supported through it all. Join us to speak or just be a listening presence as we hold each other in healing and community.

Hosted by SJCC Case Manager Elisse Reyna
Learn how to develop a practice of listening and caring for yourself especially during stressful times.
Poetry and Politics as Process: A Creative Writing Workshop Post-2020 U.S. Election
Nov. 13 @ 10 AM
Hosted by Santa Clara County Poet Laureate Janice Sapigao
In this workshop, we will read and write poems that center around and acknowledge the struggles of living and surviving this political era. The poems and work will center around BIPOC voices, and how taking care of yourself also means taking care of your families, your community, and addressing root causes of social issues. We will respond to writing prompts based on poems. Poetry-related wellness resources will be shared afterwards. All are welcomed; BIPOC students are encouraged to attend.
Session is open to 25 people with preference given to participants who pre-register at the link below.
