The Student Development Office and The Safe Zone Program provides allies to utilize their gained knowledge and skills to foster a supportive and safe atmosphere for LGBTQ students, faculty, and staff.


LGBTQ Faculty, Staff, Student Reception

Tuesday, November 10th at 1:00 pm

Our LGBTQ community of students are invited to virtually meet our LGBTQ faculty and staff. The goal of the reception is to spread information! You will be informed about all the activities and resources that are available to you as a member of the LGBTQ community.


Improving Transgender Inclusivity on Campus

Wednesday, November 18th at 9:00 am

Ryan Sallans, known as a respected Transgender Speaker, is gearing up to take audiences into the 21st century by diving deeper into trauma-informed care and self awareness. Ryan returns to SJECCD to share his experience as a transgender man. He speaks about abuse, trauma, recover and resilience.


Transgender Day of Remembrance

Thursday, November 19th at 1:00 pm

Attend this event and participate in a ceremony to remember and honor transgender people around the world whose lives have been lost to anti-transgender violence.
