MEET THE Director of student Engagement

Kimberly Lopez
Political Science
Kimberly Lopez currently serves as the Director of Student Engagement for SJCC ASG. In this role, she focuses on creating opportunities for students to connect, lead, and make a meaningful impact in their community. She helps organize events, collaborates with student organizations, and works to ensure that student voices are represented in campus initiatives.
Kimberly previously served as a high school representative for Calaveras Hills High School, participating in Milpitas School Board District meetings to advocate for student interests. She is also a proud member of the first cohort of California’s NEWLeadership program, which is dedicated to helping women advance in leadership roles. Beyond her leadership positions, she volunteers with Catholic Charities, the Welch Park Neighborhood Association, and political campaigns, reflecting her commitment to community service and civic engagement.
In addition to her leadership and volunteer work, Kimberly is passionate about supporting her peers and fostering a sense of inclusion and empowerment among students both inside and outside the classroom.
